Unfortunately, I’ve experienced the same as many others described in this article—how Medium has completely turned things upside down. While I since 2018 used to earn one to two times the cost of my Medium membership, this month as yearly subscriber ($150.00) to Friends of Medium I’ve earned just $0.36. This fact confirms the truth of what’s outlined in your article.

I’m deeply disappointed, but I think I may also need to consider stopping publishing on Medium until the platform changes how it operates. It seems that, like many other established writers on Medium, I’ve now been flagged and effectively excluded from earning payments. I am incredibly sorry for this.
