Sadly, I believe umair is right when he writes:

Putin will not stop. He will not stop because he see the West's weaknesses, once again demonstrated the last days when NATO announced they would not establish a non flight zone , probably out of fear of a direct confrontation which would include shooting down some of Putin's aircrafts.

As long as the West does not firmly stand up against Putin, I am afraid the nightmare conclusion is going to happen: After years of cruel warfare in Europe Putin will come to the negotiation table controlling half of Europe, and we will pretend he's all right as an enemy the world "must" live with. Western tenants will meet him and talk to him. And that is exactly what his goal is, because it strengthens his narcissistic self-image.

Western world leaders must realize that the only way to stop Putin is through raw power. We have to play the game better than him, and to do that we have to see him as he is!
