I created a year ago a public Facebook Group, På tur i Hardanger (Hiking in Hardanger), which has now 11.7K members. In the group members share their photos, videos and thoughts about hiking in Hardanger, the area i western Norway where I was born and grew up. Members have posted thousands of beautiful images there, and surprise! - today I discovered a fantastic video from a hike on and inside (!) the glacier Folgefonna. Facebook groups are an exciting way to share photos, videos, experiences and great moments from walks in nature. In Jaroslaw Lazarowicz's video, we get to go on a trip to the Folgefonna glacier, and not just on the glacier, but also inside it!

As a means of communication Facebook groups can be a very good way to connect people who share the same interests! Membership is free, and I see members from all over the world.
