I am profoundly shocked and sad about what you share. As a grown man I have of course for so many years been aware of the fact: Men are many times more violent than women. It's a fact that hurts when thinking of it, especially as I am a father of girls who now are grown up and have lived in this world of human sexual predators, and I have written a substantial number of stories on this topic of male violence against women.

As I read and listened to your story this morning, I needed to see the facts from an independent authoritative source online. Here it is:

"There are approximately equal numbers of men and women in the population as a whole, but 85% of people arrested are male, around 75% of those prosecuted are male and 95% of people who go to prison are male, meaning women only make up 5% of the total prison population."
