I am one of those dedicated individuals. I have been a paying member of Medium since 2018 and have published 1,900 stories on the platform. My daily activities include reading, applauding, highlighting, and responding, with other writers reciprocating on my stories. My experience with Medium has been favorable, as it has consistently been user-friendly and has allowed me to earn a monthly amount that meets or exceeds my membership fee. The earnings were modest but motivating.

However, a few months ago, I started paying monthly for a Friend of Medium membership, and each month, my earnings exceeded my payment. This led me to opt for an annual subscription. Since then, my earnings have declined, and the trend is worsening. My earnings for the past five days were: $0.02, $0.08, $0.03, $0.05, and $0.00, which is disheartening.

I would like to ask you, Tony Stubblebine, am I bound to remain a Friend of Medium for the full 12 months?

P.S. I have questions about the low number of views and reads my stories receive, as do many other writers, I believe. What could be the reason for the significant decline in our statistics for views and reads over the past 12 to 18 months?
