Another excellent essay from your pen, George - this time a reading that brings perspective to our thoughts on Stoicism. When we replace the word pessimistic with 'realistic', 'sober' or 'reality-oriented' we can approach a resilient attitude to life based on the ideas of stoicism. It's not about getting things easy, or avoiding loss and suffering. It's about growing as a person, all the time, and taking small steps forward towards deeper insight. Can we call it life wisdom?

I'll say it again. Keep up your writing, George. It expands our horizons. Thanks!
