Ah oui! Vive la difference!!!

In Norway, there are three official written languages: Nynorsk, Bokmål, and Sami. Sami is a distinct language not linguistically related to Norwegian, which consists of Nynorsk and Bokmål; both are part of the Germanic language family, which English is also a part of.

The two written languages, Nynorsk and Bokmål, reflect the dialect diversity in Norway.
